ABOUT ENHANCING MINDS COGNITIVE CENTER

Enhancing Minds Cognitive Center (EMCC) was born out of Alyssa Uecker’s and Sonny Lim’s ongoing dedication and desire to help their son, Max, overcome his learning difficulties.  Their goal is to meet the needs of not only their son, but also the many children and adults who are actively looking for alternate ways to become skilled learners.  As educators, they believe that the Arrowsmith Program can help people of all ages strengthen their learning capacities, build new neural pathways and become everything they want to be.

WHAT IS THE EMCC?

Transforming lives through cognitive enhancement

A world in which learning challenges do not limit a person’s potential, and all people, whether young or old, can change their cognitive capacities.

Hear from our founder Alyssa Uecker about her experience with the Arrowsmith Program and how this has changed her life and the life of her son.

HOW WE WORK

EMCC is committed to changing and shaping lives.  We do this by using the Arrowsmith Program to help individuals strengthen learning capacities, and in turn, academic outcomes.  Cognitive exercises have the same impact on the brain as physical exercise does for the body.  It strengthens the underlying weak areas and ensures that the brain has a greater capacity to absorb and process information.

By strengthening weak cognitive areas, people of all ages will see benefits in a multitude of areas:

  • Improved visual and auditory memory

  • Improved attention, concentration, and mental clarity

  • Strengthened working memory, processing speed, and cognitive efficiency

  • Improved verbal and non-verbal thinking, reasoning and problem-solving skills

  • Improved capacity for concept formation for both visual-spatial and language-based materials

  • Improved fine-motor skills necessary for writing and note-taking

  • Increased self confidence
